The good folks over at Vidyard have just released their Video Benchmark Report. The main theme? Video is still growing fast.
Key findings from the 2018 report include:
- The creation of video in business is exploding: Creation is up 83% over previous year. Video libraries are expected to double in size within 12 months
- More short form: 75% of all videos published were under 2 minutes in length up from only 56% in the previous year
- Video engagement still highest on desktop. A surprise this one but 89% of business video views happened on desktop computers.
- Video increasingly being used in channels outside of YouTube etc Channels such as email marketing, landing pages and within sales teams
