"Ad Sequencing" for Google Video Ads

October 16th 2018 By Fergus Dyer-Smith

Seen in the wild is a new feature to allow you to sequence video ads.

The 1st ad (known as the anchor ad) has been either "Viewed", "Impression" or "Skipped". Following this video, you can trigger follow up videos. This allows you to try different ads at different times depending on a viewer's previous interaction. For example, If the first ad didn't create a response you can serve them a shorter clip or different ad.

This is a great feature to tell your story in sequence to your users via YouTube and avoids trying to use retargeting to do the same thing.
