40 great uses for video that you never thought of

…or you probably did but not all of them at once


But before we get there...did you know that Youtube has over 2 Billion users and that over 1 billion hours of video are watched daily in 100 countries and 80 different languages on the platform! Wow, now that's is a lot of videos of puppies sleeping, people crashing into things and bad covers of terrible songs (these are a few of my favourite things). Even though Youtube has been around since 2005 it's still the most popular platform to consume video content on for any age group, including Gen Z - that includes Facebook, Tiktok, Instagram, Netflix and most television networks. I'm not trying to plug or write this blog about Youtube, far from it, I'm merely scene-setting. It's the hook! I wow you with big flashy numbers and mind-bending stats that lure you, get you interested and baaam...I state the obvious!
Video is by far one most popular form of content consumed by audiences today on any platform, and that is why it is one of the most effective tools in marketers arsenal. It's a great way to explain, educate and reach an audience across a multitude of platforms; creating awareness, delivering engagement and influencing decision-making.

  1. Create explainer videos to illustrate the attributes of product and services and challenges they solve.

  19. Buy our stuff!” Use video as a call-to-action, which you can then dot all-around your website to help encourage your visitors to buy your stuff or at least give you a call.

  20. "Thank you for buying our stuff!” How about creating little thank you videos or gifs that are automatically sent in confirmation emails. This is also a great way to inform and upsell more products and services.
